Pets Health Care Plan

Pets Health Care Plan – Dog Insurance Plans

Pre-existing Conditions for Dog Insurance Purposes:

The company does not cover some conditions at all during the first coverage period (meaning the first year). Then they cover some conditions. They are unclear so specific questions should be asked before enrolling.

Types of Pet Insurance Coverage Included:

Reimbursement coverage is available at four different levels. Basically, you take your dog to the vet and pay up front. The vet will help you file a claim and according to Petshealth Care, “You’ll get back 80% of usual and customary covered charges after a low $100 annual deductible per pet.” You can choose to have the reimbursement sent directly to the vet, so, theoretically, you may be able to get the bill placed on account at the vets and he/she may wait for the check from the insurance.

Basic accidental dog insurance protection, coverage for illnesses, essential wellness care, and deluxe wellness care are each different levels of insurance.  Additional coverage of protection is available for ongoing conditions through Petshealth Continuing Care coverage option.
