Pre-existing Conditions for Dog Insurance Purposes:

No pre-existing condition is covered and there is a 14 day waiting period for illnesses. Broken legs and conditions that heal and are considered cured are NOT considered pre-existing conditions.

On-going serious pre-existing conditions  such as diabetes, Addison’s disease, and Immune Mediated Anemia are not eligible for full coverage dog health insurance. Accidental coverage is still available.

Types of Pet Insurance Coverage Included:

Vet visits, lab tests, treatments, surgeries, prescription medicines, and even for conditions other insurance companies won’t allow. Optional coverage is available to help pay for routine care, such as annual exams, vaccinations, spaying/neutering and teeth cleaning.

Dental procedures that are needed due to a covered accident or injury are included. Routine dental care can be purchased under specific plans. Vitamins and supplements are not covered.
