Pre-existing Conditions for Dog Insurance Purposes:
For Petplan dog insurance purposes, a pre-existing condition is a condition which showed clinical signs before the coverage began or that occurred during the policy waiting period. This includes diagnosed as well as undiagnosed conditions, or conditions that are in remission, seasonal or under control by prescriptions. Any exclusion placed on your pets policy due to a pre-existing condition can be reviewed at your request and can be removed if it is deemed cured.

- Hospitalization – including emergency treatment
- Diagnostic testing – such as MRIs, x-rays, endoscopy
- Surgery – including cruciate ligament surgery and organ transplants but not spay/neuter

Who is Eligible?
Dogs up to age 8 are eligible to enroll. Once the dog is enrolled Petplan USA (before the age of 8 years) will cover the pet throughout their life, as long as the plan is renewed each year.
