Pre-existing Conditions for Dog Insurance Purposes:

PetFirst Healthcare does not pay for pre-existing conditions.

No coverage will be extended for the diagnosis, medical management or surgical correction of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) or cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) damage or rupture during the initial 12 months of enrollment.

No coverage will be extended for the diagnosis, medical management or surgical correction of interverterbal disc(s) regardless of the procuring cause, during the first 6 months of enrollment.

Types of Pet Insurance Coverage Included:

Accident, Comprehensive, Comprehensive with additions, Senior and Family coverage. There are individual riders available to allow the policy owner to customize their plan based on their own dogs needs. Family plans are for multiple pet coverage at discounted rates when compared to individual policies.

Who is Eligible?

8 weeks to 9 years.

Senior Plan is for dogs ages 10 and up.
